My Speech

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog.
I am about to show you my speech.
My speech is about how our future  is going to end.
Have your Teachers or Parents ever told you that your future is going to end?
How is It going to end you may ask!
Well take sometime and read my speech.
Please leave a comment, about what you think I shoud work on.

Here is my speech
-
1.
Kia Ora my name is Ellie.
Have you ever taken one second to imagine what your future is going to be like?

2.
Well, I have a dream that in the future, I'm going to be a world famous rugby player.
That one day I'm going to be a master cook, and then the next I’m going to ride a great white shark for a living.

3.
Oh yes doesn't my future sound amazing, full of hopes and dreams what about all those rainbows, butterflies and flowers.

4.
Well, it would be full of rainbows, butterflies and flowers if the world wasn't going to end, yes that's right humans have destroyed my future, crashed my hopes and dreams with your disrespectful and uncaring ways  for our wonderful planet.

5. You have infected the blood from all of the critters, humans and the living things  that walk on this earth. You've washed away my future with a tornado of plastic.
6. Yes humans are being greedy they are cutting down over 7 billion trees to make room for bigger and flasher buildings, you are getting more toys and video games that you

7.only play with once, buying bigger flasher cars to be better than everyone else but actually those cars are creating more greenhouse gasses, causing Icebergs to melt.

9.You! Your purched there all silent and innocent but you're the cause of this. Every time you ask your parents for a Big Mac from McDonald's,or when you go to the store to get staff just so u can sit their and play video games
8.All these problems add up to one thing, the end of my dreams, flooding my future, killing my butterflies, snatching the flowers from my garden of hope and who do I blame for this?

10.You are taking me one step closer to death. Hang on, what's that I see can, you see it, it’s a speck of hope and that hope is telling us that we can change. Change the way we act, change the way we think, change the way we live.

11.No more waiting for others to make the change… you as people could be responsible for the death of my future..

12. or you could save my future. Think about it people if my future is washed away, by the thing that people call living then, what will happen to yours?

I am going to do a blog post with me telling my speech with a slide.

Brush Ninja Animation

Today I was learning How to make a animation and how to insert it to my blog. I also learnt how to use this site because I only got told about it today but it was very simple.
I enjoyed making my animation because I lerned how to use another site called Brush Ninja. I also enjoyed watching my creation come to life.
I found it hard to insert the black on top of the white stars and to make sure that my blue backround was going to sute the light blue backround.
My animation shows the 9 matariki stars. It is also showing them shine at diffrent stages through out the night.
Next time I would change the colour of the stars and mabey try to see if I can make them shine abit brighter.
I love this site and I hope that I will be able to use this site again and learn more about it.
Go and have a go at creating a animation - brush ninja

Meng And Our Haka

On the 14.5.19 Meng Forn came into our class to share what it is like being the mayor what impact it has had on his life and what impact, he has made on our town (Gisborne).

We asked him how can our class have an impact and celebration of the te ha celebration because it is The 250th-anniversary commemorations will acknowledge the first formal meetings between Māori and Europeans on and off the coast of Tairawhiti in October.

We also did the haka for him. So here are so videos of the Haka.

Hope you like it and comment on what would you do to be apart of the te ha Celebration.

Stepsweb and why I use it.

Do day I am showing what I use my computer at school for and how it helps my writing & how I am improving.
So I use this site called steps web (you should get it if you are not to keen on spelling).
I use it so I can get my spelling to the end of level 4 by the end of the year that is a massive goal because I am only up to level 2 so I got 2 more levels to do but I am working through that.

Steps web also helps with my writing it shows a difference since I started to use spets because my spelling is going up slowly but it is still going up.

I recommend you try using steps web to see if it helps u and your learning because it has totally helped me.
Comment and like but also tell me if steps web has made a difference in your life.

Projekt 1065

Over the past 3 weeks, we have been doing a projekt for inquiry.
We are reading a book call project 1065. It is about Michael, originally from Ireland, now lives in Germany with his parents. Like the other boys in his school, Michael is a member of the Hitler Youth. But Michael has a secret. He and his parents are spies. Our Teacher read as chapters will doing a sketch of what was happening in the book.In my sketch, I have the Hitler youth and Michael and his mum and some badges and symbols, Ect.My focus is to be able to justify what the book is about so then I can drawing the meaning of what is going on.I don't want to tell u about the book so go and have a read and comment to, say what u liked about the book.

When The Endeavor Arrived

Today in Manaiakalani, we had to write our moment in time. Then we put it onto a Google slide, or on a google drawing. Then designed it and published it to the web so we could put onto our blog.
I did mine on a google drawing, and add a photo of the sea at both sides and the starts at the top and the sand at the bottom. The little sailing ship at the bottom in the cover-up of the Endeavor.
I was aiming to a high standard in my pieces of writing, the level I was aiming for high level 4 or 5.
In my piece of writing it is explaining the olden days when captain cook arrived and when the Endeavor arrived.
My Focus today was publishing my writing and Making it make sense.

Hope you liked it.
Please leave a comment and come back to see more of my learning.

Chinese in new zealand-1800's

Today for inquiry, we are learning about the Chinese and New Zealand in the 1800s. Our class wrote poems about Chinese and New Zealand. I have learned that poll tax was put in so Chinese couldn't send so much money over to China. Back in the 1900's Chinese would dig up gold and make millions of money then poll tax arrived and they could send as much.
So here is my poem:

Tax, tax,tax
Money down the
Drain.
Gold getting dug.
BUT!
That Won't Stop
Us.
You better watch
YOUR
BACK!!

Here is a photo of the Poem.

Famouse Nz'er

Today in Manauakalani (cybersmart) we learned how to use screen castify. We did it about a famous person that we like mine is Conrad Smith. I lent more about Conrad Smith that I didn't know. I liked how I can share what I like doing out of the classroom with people around the world that might look at my blog.
So can you please give me a comment down the bottom.

Here is my video.

Here is my drawing from the video.

Multiculturalism

Je crois que le multiculturalism est important pour la nouvelle-zelande parce que…
I believe multiculturalism is important to NZ because…
If there were not any different culters it would be sad because people learn for others. They learn different skills, different l language but people choices to learn different things, 7for example they could be a French lesson to teach you how to speak French but choices to go or not, about 2.2% only go because they don't know how it will help them in the future.

Over 6.500 language is spoken throw out the country.
How many languages do you know?
Zaid Fazah can speak and read over 58 languages. If cultures just stayed then we went now how to speak more then one language.
traduire est un bon moyen d'apprendre différentes langues - translate is a good way to learn languages.

Do you know how many skills you learn every year? You learn over 20 skills every day from respect to p.e to being a kind person etc. People learn different skills from different people that are different cultures. Different cultures do things several, like there ways. So if you are cleaning Indians or Chinese might do it totally different then you.

So now if you had the choice to say if different cultures should be together or if they should go with there own cultures. I hope that you say go with different people and with there different cultures because they can teach you different skills in different ways and they can bring different food.

The Whale Rider

Whale Rider is a 2002 New Zealand film written by Witi Ihimaera. Kahu, Paikea Apirana, a twelve-year-old Māori girl whose Aim is to become the chief of the tribe. Her grandfather Koro ( most people know him as Paka) assumes that this role is only for boys- men. It was located in Whangara. Gender doesn't matter and that is what this is going to tell you about.

In the core of the story, Paikea wanted to provide to Paka that she could be the lender or chief he requires. Nana told Paikea ¨do don't attend to what Paka has to say, you can lead the Nau Mai with me, go on now. Pakia didn't give up she listened to her nana and said to herself 3 times ¨I want to show koro (Paka) that I can be his chief or leader ¨ so, she stands up and disregards Paka and starts to sing ¨Nau mai! piki mai!
e ngā iwi e¨ then, her nana starts to sing back ¨ngā reo, nga mana. Tēnā ra koutou katoa¨.

As Paikea didn't know what Paka was going to announce next. I was like a 100 bullets been expelled at you. As she stood there and wanted for her Nana to finish. As everyone hunkered down, she had taken a chance and perched down, where the boys were and sat there really silent. Then as Paka looked Paikea in her eyes she had a fever go down her spine, Paka said ¨GET TO THE BACK YOU ARE A GIRL¨ as she falls ignore him he says it again and she starts to gets scared he stands up and yells like a lion roaring to her cubs to come back. She got scared and went off the marae Grounds.
Everyone was speechless and just gazed at him and said you did damage to her again Paka.
